Korean Skin Care Routine Steps for Night and Morning

The true secret for having the perfect skin is in knowing how to take care of our skin every day and making it into a routine. This guide is for those who want to have a steady routine and have a better relationship with their skins.
Morning Korean Skincare Routine: Prepping & Protecting
Step 1: Cleanser (or Just Water Rinse)
Every morning, the first step you should take in your routine is to was your face to remove any kind of impurities. You can use a cleanser if you’re feeling fancy, but just using soap and rinsing your face should be more than enough.

Step 2: Toner
When we wash our faces, specially with a cleanser, the natural oil that our skin produces is stripped away, as well as water is lost when we wipe our faces. As a second step, it is important to use a toner to rehydrate your skin and to prep your skin for better absorption.

Step 3: Serum/Ampoule
If you have any skin concern like brightening, anti-aging, or acne, this is the step where you should use a serum or ampoule targeting your concern.

Step 5: Sunscreen (Most Important!)

Nighttime Korean Skincare Routine: Repair & Rejuvenate
Step 1: Double Cleansing
After a long day, you should clean your face to remove all dust and impurities. I personally like to double cleanse my face, where first I use micellar water to remove sunscreen, makeup, and excess oil. Afterwards, I use a foam cleanser to clean sweat and remaining impurities.

Step 2: Exfoliation (2-3 times a week)
In order to remove dead skin cells for a brighter and smoother complexion, it is recommended to exfoliate your skin 2 or 3 times per week. Do not overdue it since it can be harsh for your skin.

Step 3: Toner
Similar logic shared under the morning routine, toner helps to add hydration to your skin after being cleansed. Toner pads are also a good option to help your skin absorb all that hydration!

Step 4: Serum/Ampoule
At night time, for this step, you can use products that are sun sensitive, such as Vitamin C.

Step 5: Sheet Mask (Optional)
Hydration is key for having a glowing complexion. Some people recommend including a sheet mask in their daily night time routine, but 3-4 times per week should be more than enough to provide enough hydration and nourishment to your skin.

Step 6: Eye Cream
